We would greatly appreciate your support for our highly competitive robotics team which competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). FIRST Tech Challenge is a global competition with over 70,000 passionate participants, and it plays a pivotal role in nurturing the future of engineering and technology. You can find out more at FIRSTinspires.org.
BotTanks is composed of nine enthusiastic students ranging from grades 8 to 12. We are a diverse mix of both experienced members and rookies who are new to FIRST. Over the past six years, many of our members have been actively engaged in FIRST programs, where they have honed their skills and dedication, resulting in numerous regional, state, and international accolades. Most notably, our team achieved an impressive 3rd place in the world as part of FIRST LEGO League's 38,000 teams, showcasing the level of excellence we aspire to maintain in FIRST Tech Challenge.
As a newly established FIRST Tech Challenge team, we confront the task of procuring the essential equipment and resources required to sustain our competitive edge and continue competing at the highest levels. This is where your support can make an immense difference to our continued success.
FIRST Tech Challenge has a profound impact on our students, providing them with a unique platform to develop critical skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. These experiences not only prepare them for future careers in engineering and technology but also empower them to be creative thinkers and leaders in any field they choose to pursue.
Here are some compelling metrics that demonstrate the impact of FIRST programs:
Inspiring Future Engineers: Over 90% of FIRST participants express an increased interest in pursuing STEM-related careers. Building Tomorrow's Workforce: More than 75% of FIRST alumni currently work or study in STEM fields, helping to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in these areas. Diversity and Inclusion:FIRST actively promotes diversity, with a commitment to reaching underserved communities and fostering inclusivity among participants.
BotTanks is a part of the Tampa Bay Technology Alliance, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, which means your support comes with the added benefit of potential tax deductions.
